Several international journalists were arrested in Afghanistan on Saturday when they covered a demonstration for women’s rights in Kabul.
One of the journalists is Norwegian, Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs tells NRK. The journalists were released after ten hours.
The women demanded “food, work and freedom”. Talibans are said to have fired in the air to disperse the demonstration, and hit several with the weapons.
