A Norwegian diplomat is thrown out of Russia, after an outburst of anger in a hotel in Murmansk.
– I hate Russians! Just give me a room, the woman angrily told hotel staff, according to video footage published by Russian media.
– I’m used to clean rooms! I’m from Scandinavia, she continues, swearing over the reception desk.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oslo regrets the incident, and confirms that the ambassador in Moscow has been informed by Russian authorities that the woman’s visa has been revoked.
The diplomat in question was already engaged in relocation management when the incident occurred. Norway announced in June that the consulate in Murmansk, a city about 15 miles from the borders with Norway and Finland in northwestern Russia, will be closed.
