Kristine Stavå’s Skistad is back in earnest again.
Last week, the Norwegian skiing star won double sprint races.
Now Norway sends a clear pass to all Swedish rivals.
After a messy start to the season, Kristine Stavå’s Ski City really found the big form again. First she won the sprint at the Norwegian championships on Thursday and then also the sprint at the World Cup in Les Rousses, France on Saturday.
Skistad’s comeback
An incredible statement of strength from the Norwegian ski star who missed large parts of the season due to stomach surgery. But now she has found her great form again just a month before the World Ski Championships in Trondheim.

In Norway, people are really impressed by Stavås Skistad’s comeback on the ski slopes.
– In terms of results, she is ahead of schedule. I didn’t think she would play with the Swedes even now, says the TV2 expert Petter Soleng Skinstad to the newspaper Dagbladet.
– Physically, you can see how much strength this cost her as she lies down for a long time in the goal area. I think she’s far from her absolute top form, and that’s fine. The track in Trondheim is quite tough and will require the best of her if she is to succeed in keeping up with Jonna Sundling.
High praise for Kristine
One who is really impressed by Kristine Stavå’s Skistad is the legend Marit Björgenwho has become part of the Norwegian women’s national team. Now she says what no Swede wants to hear.
– It’s the first time I’ve been on the inside with Kristine. I must say I am very impressed with that girl. She is cold and calm and not least with the self-confidence she has. She psychs out the competition in the first race. It is absolutely raw to see, says Björgen to the Norwegian newspaper.
– That’s how she is. She is very confident in what she does and has a good plan. She shows no insecurity. That is a strong sign. For her part, I think she was relieved after the weekend. She won the NM, but there was probably something extra to compete with the best Swedes at the World Cup. Now she sees that it works, although she needs more competition training.

Stavås Skistad then chose to settle for just Saturday and never did the mass start on Sunday, even though she was registered for the race.
– It was plan A that she would go that distance, but after two full days of sprinting on Thursday and Saturday, we decided on Saturday night that it was best for her to save her energy, admits her trainer Created by Sofienlund for Dagbladet.
