Northvolt takes in over 50 billion for continued expansion in Skellefteå

On Tuesday morning, the battery company announces that they have completed what they call “the largest loan in Europe to date linked to the green transition”.

The company takes in five billion dollars, which corresponds to almost SEK 52 billion at today’s exchange rate.

The grant will be used for the continued expansion of the factory in Skellefteå As well as the establishment of battery recycling at Revolt which is being built in connection with Northvolt Ett, the company writes in a press release.

The new loan means that Northvolt has now secured more than 13 billion dollars in total for its continued expansion in Europe and North America.
