The entire board of the Sweden Democrats in Sölvesborg is resigning, BLT reports.

The message will be a meeting on Sunday.

Group leader Louise Erixon hails the decision because she believes the board is the answer to the fiasco in the EU elections.

    – At the same time, I want to point out that we consider it both honorable and humble of the board to listen to the criticism by now leaving their seats available. They have my deepest respect for that decision, she tells the newspaper and continues:

    – The board was responsible for organizing the election campaign and that they did not fulfill that mission in a satisfactory manner.

According to information to BLT, the defection is not due to the low election result – but to the fact that the group leader is back from maternity leave and that harsh words are said to have been handed out at Sunday’s meeting.

    – They thought it was enough with the crap they had to take on Sunday and decided collectively to drop out, says the source to BLT.

Going forward, the district will step in as a board.

    – I estimate that we can get started with a plan to do this within the next few weeks, said Blinken and continued:

    – It is urgent. It is life-changing.

The UN has already drawn up a plan to vaccinate children against polio in the Gaza Strip, which could start before the end of the month. But to succeed with a necessary vaccination, a ceasefire must be declared in two rounds of one week each, UN Secretary-General António Guterres believes.

There are about 640,000 children in Gaza; the first confirmed polio case was discovered late last week.
