During the weekend, according to SVT’s meteorologists, there was a lot of activity on the sun, and this is usually a good sign for the northern lights in southern Sweden as well.
In Västervik, everything was right on Sunday evening. Clear sky, and at the time of sunset there was a clear view to the north and northeast.
Favorable for northern lights
Even in the coming days, the weather is favorable for the aurora borealis, but the sun, on the other hand, is not really on the cards.
– The solar activity is not as high as this weekend, says SVT’s meteorologist Deana Bajic.
