North Korean troops have left Kursk

“Over the past three weeks, we have not seen any activity or any military confrontations with any North Korean troops,” Oleksandr Kindratenko spokesman for the Ukrainian military’s special force, AFP.

The statement comes after Ukrainian information that North Korean troops have moved back from the front after extensive losses.

About 12,000 North Korean soldiers are suspected to have been sent to Russia to fight with the Russian troops against Ukraine, according to several intelligence reports from Ukraine and West. 4,000 of them are suspected to have died in the fighting.

Neither North Korea nor Russia have confirmed that North Korean soldiers are fighting on behalf of Russia.
