North Korean military satellite has crashed

North Korea has failed to launch a military intelligence agency. The attempt took place late on Tuesday evening Swedish time, reports the media and refers to the state news agency KCNA.
The Chollima-1 rocket is said to have crashed in the North Sea shortly after it was launched.

The launch caused alarms to go off in South Korea’s capital Seoul and on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa. Residents of Seoul were urged to seek shelter.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemns the launch of the spy satellite, Reuters reports. He says it goes against UN security resolutions.

Earlier this week, North Korea warned that a military intelligence satellite would be launched to monitor US military activity.
