North Korea has fired two short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast on Monday morning. This is stated by the South Korean military.
The launch was the third major weapons test by North Korea so far this year and followed joint military exercises held by South Korea and the United States yesterday. Also last Saturday, North Korea launched a robot, something that is condemned from several quarters.
– From the test on February 18, it is clear that North Korea is developing intercontinental ballistic robots. This action by North Korea is completely unacceptable and threatens peace and security both in the region and internationally, says Hirokazu Matsuno at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
