North Korea sends super weapons – can “even Seoul with the ground”

North Korea is preparing to send more than 100 artillery systems to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine, reports The Telegraph.

170mm M1989 Koksan Howitzers, as the weapon system is called, is among the most long -shooting artillery systems in the world. The weapon was developed to strike against the South Korean capital in the event of conflict, and is described to be able to “even Seoul with the ground”, writes the magazine.

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, states that North Korean troops have trained their Russian counterparts to use the weapon in battle. He also believes that North Korea now wants to double the number of artillery systems sent to Kursk.

Over the past three months, at least 120 North Korean -made M1989 Koksan has already been delivered.

Ukrainian commander: “They’ll be back”

Last fall, approximately 11,000 North Korean soldiers were sent to the Kursk region following Ukraine’s attack on Russian land in August. Now the New York Times states that North Korea is preparing to send even more soldiers.

On Monday, information came that North Korean soldiers should have been withdrawn from the border, but it is said to be temporary.

“I think they will be back soon,” a Ukrainian commander who goes by the name “Pulse” will told Sky News.

About 1,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed and 3,000 injured during the battles between Ukraine and Russia, reports the BBC, which refers to anonymous Western officials, according to The Telegraph.
