North Korea has confirmed that it test-launched an intercontinental ballistic missile on Thursday. This is reported by the country’s state news agency KCNA.

On Thursday, South Korea and Japan reported on North Korea’s latest missile test.

The Hwasong-17 missile was launched during a joint military exercise between South Korea and the United States. KCNA calls the exercise provocative and aggressive.

South Korea and the United States began their largest joint military exercises in five years on Monday. North Korea has said that it considers the military exercise a threat to itself. Thursday’s missile test was already the third this week.
