North Korea is preparing to cut off all inter Korean traffic

Recently, the differences between the Koreans have become more inflamed than before. By blowing up the roads, the dictatorship led by Kim Jong-un continues to isolate itself.

North Korea is preparing to blow up the roads in the border area between the Koreas, South Korea says.

North Korean military forces are said to be working on the roads under camouflage nets. A spokesman for the South Korean army believes that the roads may be blown up as early as Monday.

Destroying the roads would be in line with the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un with goals. It is believed that he is trying to sever the last connections between the Koreas and give up once and for all the dreams of the countries’ unification.

Last week, North Korea’s military said it plans to cut off all road and rail connections on the border between the two countries and strengthen fortifications in the border area.

Propaganda leaflets flew over Pyongyang

In recent weeks, tensions between the countries located on the Korean peninsula have flared up.

Last Friday, North Korea accused its southern neighbor of flying drones carrying propaganda leaflets into the country’s capital, Pyongyang. North Korea calls the act a political and military provocation.

North Korea also threatened its neighbor with a “terrible disaster” if Friday’s act is repeated. Yesterday, Sunday, the country said it had placed eight artillery batteries in full readiness near the border between the two countries.

Spokesperson for the South Korean General Staff Lee Sung-jun declined to say on Monday whether the drones that flew over Pyongyang were being flown by the country’s military or individual civilians.
