North Korea has blown up roads leading to the southern border, says South Korea | News in brief

North Korea has blown up the roads leading to its southern border, the South Korean Armed Forces says. According to the staff, the armed forces have increased their readiness.

The roads connecting North and South Korea have not been used.

Tensions have risen on the Korean peninsula. North Korea claimed on Friday that South Korea had sent drones over its capital, Pyongyang. According to North Korea, the drones would have distributed leaflets against the North Korean regime.

South Korea’s armed forces have not agreed to comment on the drone claim.

In recent months, North Korea has severed its last remaining links with South Korea.
