North Korea and Kim Jong Un threaten nuclear weapons

War on the Korean Peninsula could break out at any time, according to Kim Jong Un.
North Korea’s dictator directs new threats to the United States – and calls on the country’s nuclear forces to be prepared for conflict.
In addition, he makes a New Year’s resolution.

In recent days, Kim Jong Un and the regime in North Korea have met at an annual party meeting, where the political direction for 2024 was presented. Among other things, the dictator talked about the country’s military and the economy.

State-controlled media in the country report that Kim Jong Un and the regime agreed on several issues, most of which concerned the country’s military capabilities. In a long speech to the nation, the dictator talked about the plans, AFP reports.

Calls on the army to prepare

Next year, North Korea will continue to equip its military, including by building new drones, developing the country’s electronic warfare capabilities and upgrading its nuclear arsenal.

Kim Jong Un directs new threats against the United States and accuses Joe Biden and his administration of “making various forms of military threats”. The state news agency KCNA reports that the dictator has called on the country’s army to “increase response capability”.

After several days of meetings, the regime concluded that a war on the Korean Peninsula “could break out at any moment” and accused other countries of plotting to invade North Korea.

The US has placed strategic weapons and ships in the region this year in response to North Korean weapons tests. North Korea calls the US decision “deliberately provocative moves for nuclear war”.

The New Year’s resolution: New spy satellites

During the year, North Korea launched several spy satellites and tested its most advanced ballistic robot, actions condemned by the outside world. The UN Security Council has passed several resolutions calling on North Korea to stop its nuclear weapons programs.

After the meeting, Kim Jong Un promised that the country will launch three more spy satellites in 2024.
