There is an acute staff shortage in many Norrland municipalities. Those who can imagine moving there to work can count on 10,000 kroner in bonuses. – We need to find people and it is currently very difficult, says Ulrica Hammarström, municipal councilor in Pajala municipality. Some of the municipalities that sugar the salary envelopes with bonuses are Pajala, Arjeplog and Skellefteå. All of them find it difficult to recruit staff for jobs in care, school and care. The highest bonus you can get in Arjeplog is up to SEK 100,000. In Pajala you can get a maximum of SEK 30,000 and in Skellefteå SEK 10,000. – We hope that it will have the effect and the dividend that we desire, says Ulrica Hammarström, municipal councilor in Pajala municipality.
