A woman, who was already wanted by police on outstanding warrants, is facing new charges after being arrested in Simcoe on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers with the OPP Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit made the arrest at just before 3:30 pm at an Argyle Street location in Simcoe.
The woman was taken into custody without incident, Norfolk OPP said in a media release.
Suspected fentanyl, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia was found at the time of the arrest, police said.
Deanna Hall, 35, of Norfolk County has been charged with possession of an opioid for the purchase of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was held in custody to await a bail hearing.
