A 79-year-old Norfolk resident was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Port Dover on Friday evening.

Norfolk OPP, along with Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to the crash at just after 6 p.m.

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to a trauma center where they died, said police.
A portion of Highway 3 was closed for several hours as officers conducted an investigation. In a Facebook post, OPP thanked citizens “who stopped and offered assistance under extremely hazardous conditions.”
