Norfolk OPP is again reminding motorists to remove valuables from vehicles following a theft from a vehicle parked on Colborne Street North in Simcoe.

Police say a dash cam and a wallet was stolen from the vehicle sometime overnight from March 18 to 19. The theft was discovered shortly before 9 am March 19.

“The OPP is urging all residents in the community to ensure that their vehicles are locked, and valuables are removed.,” Const. Andrew Gamble of the Norfolk OPP said in a statement. “If any community member notices suspicious activity, please contact the police.”
Gamble said thieves continue to target both locked and unlocked vehicles.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact the police at 1-888-310-1122. Those who wish to remain anonymous are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave an anonymous online tip at www.helpsolvecrime.com to become eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
