Norfolk OPP investigates rash of vehicle thefts

Norfolk OPP are investigating the theft of four vehicles.

Police were sent to an Erie Avenue address in Port Rowan on Friday (Aug. 11) just after 9 am Upon arrival, police determined that a silver 2011 Mercedes-Benz, ML320 SUV had been taken from the property sometime overnight.

Officers were then sent to a Charles Street address in Waterford just before 11 am Friday to investigate the theft of a black 2013 GMC Sierra pick-up truck.

Police say the vehicle was stolen sometime between 12 pm on Monday, August 7 and 10:55 am on Friday, August 11.

Then, on Saturday (Aug. 12) at 8:42 pm, officers were called to a Woodhouse Avenue, Port Dover, address to investigate the theft of black 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck.

Police say the vehicle was stolen sometime during the preceding 24 hours.

On Sunday, officers were called to investigate yet another report of a stolen vehicle.

The theft was reported to police at about 3:27 pm and police say the red 2005 GMC TJI SUV was taken shortly after 3 pm from a Queensway East, in Simcoe parking lot.
