Andy Tait is the new detachment commander for Norfolk OPP.
Tait has served in a variety of capacities with the Ontario Provincial Police over the past 25 years including:
– Frontline Supervisor
– Emergency Response Team member
– Director of Community Initiatives for the Indigenous Policing Bureau
– Commander of Provincial Operations Center
– Executive Officer for Field Operations and Culture and Strategy Services Commands
– Detachment Commander for Huronia West.
“I am committed to progressively collaborating with our communities to further our shared vision for safety and well-being,” Tait said in a media release.
Tait took over the position effective Tuesday, September 5.
