Andy Tait became the new Detachment Commander for Norfolk OPP effective Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Insp. Tait has served in a variety of capacities with the Ontario Provincial Police over the past 25 years including:
– Frontline Supervisor
– Emergency Response Team member
– Director of Community Initiatives for the Indigenous Policing Bureau
– Commander of Provincial Operations Center
– Executive Officer for Field Operations and Culture and Strategy Services Commands
– Detachment Commander for Huronia West
