From Monday, Dec. 16 to Saturday, Dec. 21, library users can clear overdue fines by donating non-perishable food items and toiletries, which will be distributed to local food banks and the Little Free Pantry.
All donated food items and toiletries stay in the community.
“Our Fine Free Week is about more than waiving fines,” said Julie Kent, library CEO. “It’s a way for the community to come together, support one another, and share in the generosity of the season.”
Bring your library card and donations to the circulation desk at any Norfolk County Public Library branch during library hours.
Staff will waive overdue fines in exchange for library users’ contributions. Fees for damaged or lost items aren’t eligible.
