Norfolk General Hospital invites applications for new board member

Norfolk General Hospital is looking to fill an open spot on its board of directors.

“We are in pursuit of exceptional individuals eager to contribute their time, energy and wisdom to drive significant improvements in our healthcare system,” said Stephanie Pongracz-Clarysse, chair of the hospital board.

Those from all backgrounds, especially those with experience in the health or legal fields, are invited to apply. The board meets about 15 times a year.

“While maintaining a skills-based board is our priority, NGH also strives for the composition of the board to reflect the diversity of the communities served,” said a news release issued by the hospital. “Specifically, to address current needs, we are seeking representation from Indigenous and Mennonite Low German communities.”

Norfolk General Hospital serves nearly 70,000 residents in Norfolk County, employing nearly 900 staff, volunteers and physicians.
