Nord scored again when AIK broke the heavy streak

After four straight losses, AIK is back on the winning track again.
Oscar Nord scored his eighth goal in the last eight games in “Gnaget’s” victory.
– I realized that it was fun to score goals in hockey, so I thought I would continue with it, he says in TV4’s broadcast.

The victory was AIK’s first since November 17 at home against Tingsryd.

The home team’s third chain of Lukas Zetterberg, Daniel Muzito Bagenda and Oscar Nord stuck out a little extra and opened the scoring already after 61 seconds when Zetterberg steered a puck in behind Österund goalkeeper Andreas Ljunggren.

The second came a quarter of an hour later when Muzito Bagenda played Nord who finished between the legs of the away goalkeeper.

“We have good chemistry”

The forward’s eighth goal in the last eight games.

– We are stable and create very good chances. We have good chemistry and it feels good, said Oscar Nord about the third line in the second period break.

Regarding the target form, he replied with a twinkle in his eye:

– I realized that it was fun to score goals in hockey, so I thought I would continue with it!

Roger Mellin takes over on Friday

Östersund got a reduction when Lucas Pettersson was left clean in the castle early in the third period.

But AIK came back and were able to close out the game when Gerry Fitzgerald made it 3-1 in a five-on-four game.

The match ended 4–1 and AIK is now eighth in the table ahead of Friday’s match against Mora, when Roger Melin steps back into the booth.

For Östersund, it was the team’s fourteenth straight loss – the Jämtars are dead last in the series with seven points to second-placed Vimmerby.
