On Tuesday, the Ice Hockey Association said on its website that Nokian Pyry would get a Mestis league in Hokki Kainuu for bankruptcy.
With the position of the club, the club’s background company Nokian Pyry Hockey has the right to apply for a license in Mestis.
The License Committee of the Ice Hockey League will decide on licenses in April.
Pyry won the Suomi series and advanced to Mestis qualifiers. In them, it was supposed to face a hockey that gave up his qualifying place.
Mestis is the second highest league in men in Finland. If Pyry is seen next season at the second highest league level, its potential replacement in the Suomi series will be decided after the issue of Mestis licenses.
