In Vendée, 2/3 of the island of Noirmoutier is located below sea level. With climate change, the coasts are eroding under the rise of the oceans and more and more frequent storms directly hit the houses. Since 2015, a plan to prevent risks has existed, but faced with its unpopularity, the objectives were revised downwards to ultimately not take into account the rise in sea level. Today, the plan is revised and the negotiations promise to be tense, particularly under real estate pressure, with this particularity, the number of second homes.
