The recipient of this year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine will be announced today in Stockholm. The Karolinine Institute will announce the names of the winner or winners in the early afternoon Finnish time.
Last year, the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to a Hungarian Katalin Karikó and American Drew Weissman for the work that enabled the rapid development of the corona vaccine.
Nobel week continues on Tuesday with prizes for physics and on Wednesday for chemistry. The literature prize is on Thursday, and the week culminates with the announcement of the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo on Friday.
