Through his children, imprisoned Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi urged the world to do more for human rights.

– The Iranian people will undoubtedly continue their struggle.

The traditional lecture in Oslo was given by Mohammadi’s two children, Kiana and Ali Rahmani. In the speech, which the laureate wrote from inside one of Iran’s most notorious prisons, she asked the world to act.

Through her child, she urged the global community to do more for human rights.

– I believe that the globalization of peace and human rights is more important and more effective than the globalization of any other issue.

Mohammadi receives the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts as a human rights activist and “her fight against the oppression of women in Iran”. In her speech, she sharply criticized the regime in her home country. The people of Iran will continue their struggle, but need additional support:

– In today’s globalized world, governments, global civil society, including international organizations and institutions, the media and independent non-governmental organizations play an undeniable role, her children said.
