What an incredible Swedish sporting moment we were treated to on Monday evening when Armand Duplantis took over the entire Stade de France in Paris. The Swedish world star was in absolutely great form and won a new Olympic gold with ease without tearing even once.

Then the unforgettable evening continued with the bar being raised to a new world record height. The whole arena then directed its focus towards “Mondo” and when he flew over the crossbar, everyone erupted in total euphoria.

Duplantis burst into a real frenzy of joy, the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf flew up from his seat in the stands and the whole Stade de France was boiling. Now also spread pictures of what the superstar Noah Lyles made in the historic seconds.

– I want to see so much more of him and he is my biggest rival for the award as the world’s best athlete. I immediately felt: “You are not making it easy for me”. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
