Last Friday, Sajawal Aziz was found at the bottom of a swimming pool in the bath house in Alingsås. Today the police confirmed that he died.
They have been working on the case for a week – but they still have no idea how the boy ended up under the surface of the water. This is stated by the local police area manager in Alingsås for Gothenburg Post.
– There are uncertainties when it is a young person who dies. If he has hit something, are there any injuries? Has he drowned, as a result of what? Or is it a pounding? That is what we want to find out, says Johan Lundberg.
There is still no witness to the incident.
So now the Swedish police will contact their British counterpart to see if new witness information from Aziz’s teammates, or others who were at the scene, has been added.
– We have not received information that anyone has reacted to anything, but we will still hear people in his team, that is our ambition, says Johan Lundberg to GP.

Former US President Barack Obama supports Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate, his office writes in a statement.
Obama was the country’s president in the years 2009–2017.
Five people are sentenced in the Malmö district court in a series of frauds in the amount of millions.
This was discovered when the group took a huge bill worth SEK 82,000 at a pub in central Malmö during the Christmas weekend last year. But since then, the investigation has grown and according to prosecutor Henrik Nordquist, the people involved must have been involved in about 20 gross frauds for over one million kroner.
Now the five are sentenced to prison for several cases of gross fraud.
A total of six people were suspected of the crimes.

The man behind the darknet site Flugsvamp 2.0, Alexander Gustafsson, has been arrested in Istanbul, Turkey, reports the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet.
Gustafsson was sentenced in 2022 to 11 years and eight months in prison for, among other things, particularly serious drug offences.
Gustafsson created Flugsvamp 2.0 and was the first in Sweden to be prosecuted and sentenced for administering a drug trading site.
He was acquitted in the district court but was sentenced in the court of appeal to prison for 11 years and 8 months. But shortly before the verdict was to be handed down, Gustafsson disappeared without a trace and was later internationally wanted by Interpol.
Gustafsson was able to create a fortune with his drug dealings. He was paid in bitcoin and could, among other things, withdraw a profit of SEK 11 million.

During Thursday evening, SOS was alerted to a campsite in Strömstad due to a Norwegian woman aged 45 suffering from a case of illness. She was taken to a hospital in Norway by ambulance helicopter, but her life could not be saved. Relatives have been notified.
Due to unclear circumstances, the police are investigating the case as a suspected murder. It is led by prosecutors.
– We don’t know what happened, we weren’t there yesterday. We have received information about the incident afterwards, says police spokesperson in Väst Christian Brattgård.
No one is arrested.
On June 26, a man disappeared on the lake outside Gräsö in Östhammar municipality.
Yesterday a dead man was found in the waters off the island, it is believed to be the same man who disappeared in June. The man’s relatives have been notified.
– The public raised the alarm, he was found in the immediate area, says police spokesperson Mattias Rutegård.
The man in his 60s had set out in a kayak and later disappeared. The kayak was found abandoned. The sea rescue was called in and a search operation began.
– We did the search close in and found the kayak in the area. It is open water and current, says Mattias Rutegård.
They searched for a day, since then a missing person report has been active.
A third person is suspected of involvement in the murder of the 14-year-old girl in Landskrona, documents from the district court show. Anything as Dagens Juridik was the first to report on.
That person is suspected of aggravated protection of a criminal.

A 15-year-old girl is wanted in custody after the murder of a 14-year-old girl in Landskrona, prosecutor Tomas Olvmyr tells Aftonbladet. She is on probable grounds suspected of murder and kidnapping.
Another girl is a suspect in the case, it is a minor under 15 who is suspected of the same crime. Both suspects have been questioned in the case and, according to the prosecutor, they have admitted that they are involved in the crime.
The custody hearing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last night three people were injured in a fire at the Piteå Dansa och le festival.
A man is now seriously injured after the fire, reports Today’s news.
He has been moved to Uppsala for continued treatment, Region Norrbotten tells the newspaper. The other two are slightly injured.
A gas stove in a food tent on the festival grounds caught fire, people on the scene managed to stop the flames and extinguish the fire, writes DN.
A car has driven off the road and overturned in Borås, the police say.
– The car has landed on the roof. The driver must be unconscious, others who stopped at the scene are trying to get him out, says Christian Brattgård at the police in Väst.
Information comes to the police that the people finally manage to get the man out and that he is then conscious
Ambulance and police have arrived at the scene and are currently investigating the accident. There are no reports of more injuries.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The police have drawn up a report about carelessness in traffic.
Two people have been requested to be detained after the shooting in Hovsjö in Södertälje on Tuesday. It is about a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, the Prosecutor’s Office states.
They are suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons offences.
A man had to be taken to hospital by ambulance in connection with the incident. The shooting was the third act of violence to hit Södertälje in just a couple of days.
On Monday evening, a hand grenade was thrown into a shop in the Geneta area and two people were injured. In that case, two people under the age of 18 have been requested to be detained. A person is suspected of aggravated destruction of public property, attempted murder and violation of the Act on Explosive and Flammable Goods, a serious crime.

A person is wanted in custody after a shooting in the Hagsätra center in southern Stockholm on June 22, the Public Prosecutor’s Office states.
It concerns a man in his 20s who, on probable grounds, is suspected of serious weapons offenses and two cases of attempted murder.
Two elderly people have died in an accident in Åtvidaberg, the police say.
– It was an accident with some kind of work vehicle that happened in the countryside. There are two people who have tragically died as a result of this incident, they are two elderly people, says Olle Älveroth, press spokesperson at the police in Öst.
Relatives have been notified of the deaths.
The details of the accident are currently unclear to the police.
– We are investigating to find out what happened. There are no suspicions of crime at the moment, says Olle Älveroth.
A preliminary investigation into causing the death of another has been launched to clarify the cause of death.
Shortly after midnight, a 25-year-old man was set upon in Viskafors by persons unknown to him as he was on his way home.
The man had just gotten off a bus. When the suspects disappeared from the scene, the man discovered that he had been stabbed on the body.
It should not be about any serious injuries.
No people have been arrested.
A man was robbed during the night and threatened with what is described as a gun-like object, according to the police.
The incident occurred in the cliff.
The man was robbed on his mobile phone and not long after, a man and a woman aged 25-30 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and minor drug offences.
