Alongside the presidential election, several American states voted on the legalization of various drugs on Tuesday.
In Nebraska, where, among other things, they voted on cannabis for medical use, the yes side won with over 70 percent, The New York Times reports.
Massachusetts residents voted to legalize a number of psychedelic drugs – cultivation, use and possession. There, the no side won with almost 57 percent.
In Florida, North Dakota and South Dakota, residents voted to legalize the purchase, possession and use of cannabis from the age of 21, as a recreational activity. In all three states, medical cannabis is already legal.
In Florida, 60 percent was required for than law change. No won with just over 44 percent. Even in North Dakota and South Dakota, the No side looks set to win when a majority of the votes are counted.
