The situation for the Utrecht Cangeroes is distressing and urgent. The club assumed that they would be able to conclude a new lease for the hall as of January 1. That contract would be a lot more expensive than the existing contract, but the municipality was willing to adjust part of the costs. Shortly after Christmas, however, it became known that the hall owner would choose another one. And so the basketball players will soon be on the street. When exactly that will be is not yet clear.
