There are “no signs” of sabotage in the case of the cargo plane that crashed near Vilnius. This is what Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas says now after speculation that Russia may have been behind it.

The plane was flying cargo on behalf of shipping giant DHL when it crashed near the intended runway in the Lithuanian capital on Monday. Representatives of several countries have said that the incident could be a so-called hybrid attack from Russia.

– With everything that has emerged and what we know now, there are no signs that this could be sabotage, however, Kasciunas told the media on Wednesday.

The main theory so far is that the flight suffered some kind of technical problem. One of the four people on board died.

The incident is being investigated further.
