Tonight, when 91.93 percent of the votes had been counted, the head of the Turkish electoral authority YSK, Ahmet Yener, released the latest update. Then Recep Tayyip Erdogan had 49.49 percent of the total number of votes cast. His challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu had 44.49 percent. That result would mean a second round will follow.
