A wind turbine on Hästkullen in Viksjö collapsed this summer and oil spilled into the area.
The preliminary investigation into suspected environmental crime has now been closed.
– I cannot prove that anyone was negligent, says Stig Andersson, prosecutor at the national unit for environmental and work environment cases.
In July, the county administrative board reported the wind power company Nysäter Wind to the police regarding the oil spill after one of the plants broke down. There were 3,000 liters of oil in the turbine housing and a large part of it is said to have leaked into the ground.
Now it is clear that there will be no prosecution for environmental crimes – anything The newspaper Ångermanland was the first to tell about.
