EA FC 24 has already started early access and the first event didn’t take long to arrive. But what about the traditional OTW (Ones to Watch) promo?
In recent years, when EA FC was still called FIFA, the Ultimate Team season always started with the same event: Ones to Watch. But this year things are suspiciously quiet around the prominent FUT promo. Can we still expect the event or is the OTW really canceled this year?
What exactly is the OTW event? Ones to Watch cards came into play in the past with the OTW event. These were special FUT cards that are based on the biggest transfers of the respective football summer. For example, Harry Kane, who moved to FC Bayern, would be a perfect candidate for a new OTW card this year.
What was special about these cards was that they were dynamic items. They got better each time the player received a TOTW or Man of the Match card.

This is what we know about the OTW event in FC 24: So far, EA Sports has not said a word about the popular OTW event. Even in the pitch notes for Ultimate Team, the development studio presented new card designs, but none of them come close to a classic OTW design.

This speaks against an OTW event in EA FC 24: Another indication that speaks against an OTW event is that the next event, the Road to the Knockouts, is already scheduled for this Friday, September 29, 2023. In previous years this usually came much later.
In addition, there have been no leaks of OTW cards from well-known channels such as DONK or Fut Sheriff in the last few days and weeks. And with the pre-order bonuses for the Ultimate Edition of FC 24, players will get a guaranteed Hero card this year and not an OTW card like in previous years.
So there’s no OTW event coming to FC 24? We can’t say that for sure. So far, however, it looks like all signs point against an imminent release of the OTW promo. A later release could still be possible.
