Due to a proposed extinction policy of deer parks, no new young are allowed, but the current animals are allowed to remain until they die. This does not require shooting animals at all, says veterinarian Peter Klaver. “You can also sterilize the males. This involves cutting the vas deferens. This way you no longer get any young ones and the male stays in the camp. This falls within the legal framework.”
