A high-ranking 25-year-old gang member was shot with several shots in the upper body in Haninge, south of Stockholm, on Thursday evening. The shooter reportedly ran from the scene after the shots were fired. The police were quickly on the scene and stopped the commuter train traffic and searched the scene with forensics and special search dogs. At 9 p.m., word came that the man had died as a result of his injuries. At this time, no one has been arrested for the shooting. The murder in Haninge means that 47 people have been shot to death so far this year. That is as many as in the whole of 2020, which is the year with the most people shot dead.
