In an interview yesterday with the news channel Outkick said the US presidentT Donald Trump that “there is no one in the world who can stop Putinexcept Trump himself ”.
Last week Trump held separate conversations with Putin and Ukraine President Volodyyr Zelenskyjwhich resulted in the Russian president agreed to stop all attacks against Ukraine’s electricity grid and infrastructure for 30 days.
Despite the agreement, Russian attacks have continued in recent days, states Reuters.
Trump has previously emphasized that the war must come to an end, claiming that the war would never have occurred if he had been president during the last term of office.
“We will work quickly to get a full ceasefire and, in the end, an end to this very terrible war between Russia and Ukraine. This war would never have started if I was president!”, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on 18 March.
In the interview with Outick, Trump continues to point out that he wants to see an end to the war.
– No one can stop Putin except me, and I think I will succeed. I want to see a stop on the killing, Trump told the News Canal.
