No one arrested – a month after the murder of 39-year-old Mikael

39-year-old Mikael was shot dead in front of his own son in Skärholmen.
A month later, no one has been arrested as a suspect in the murder.
– They are probably kept hidden somewhere, says TV4’s crime reporter Therese Cedergren, in Efter fem.

Mikael was out cycling with his son in Skärholmen, just south of Stockholm, when a youth gang made an unpleasant comment and behaved badly.

He went forward and confronted the gang, and was shot.

His son made the 911 call, but his life could not be saved.

– What touched me the most and hurt the most was that my son had seen all this, says the son’s mother Isabell to TV4 Nyheterna.

– That is what has haunted me throughout this period. I’m thinking how he’s going to be able to get that image out of his head.

“Only a matter of time”

A month later, no one has been arrested as a suspect in the murder.

– It is known that four are suspects, of which three are for aggravated protection of a criminal and one is for weapons offences. Two of those who are suspected of grossly protecting a criminal are teenagers, says TV4 Nyhetern’s crime reporter Therese Cedergren, in Efter fem.

– They are probably kept hidden somewhere. But according to the prosecutor, they have a pretty good picture of what has happened and who is behind the shooting death, and that it is only a matter of time before an arrest is made.
