No one admits to crime after the Gröna Lund accident

All the companies deny, says preliminary investigation leader Christer B Jarlås, senior prosecutor at the National Unit for Environmental and Work Environment Cases.

The suspicions concern grossly causing the death of another, grossly causing bodily harm and causing danger to another.

“We do not believe that any crime has been committed within the scope of Gröna Lund’s operations and therefore we deny the accusations,” says the amusement park’s lawyer Jonas Tamm in a comment.

If the companies are prosecuted and convicted, they may be subject to a corporate fine. No natural person has been served with suspicion.

The accident occurred in June last year, when the Jetline roller coaster partially derailed when a support arm on the underside of the leading carriage broke.

Three of the passengers fell out of the carriages during the accident, a woman in her 30s was injured so badly that she died. Nine other people were injured.
