Chatham-Kent continues to trend in the right direction with its COVID-19 numbers.
Since the last update on Friday, there were no new deaths or outbreaks reported in the municipality.
Ten people are in hospital, with three being primarily treated for COVID-19, according to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. None were in intensive care with the virus.
There were 38 new cases reported Monday, with Chatham-Kent’s seven-day rolling average at 12 daily cases. Five outbreaks remain ongoing.
Provincially, Ontario reported 1,631 new COVID-19 cases, with 228 people with the virus in intensive care.
Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said the total number of COVID-19 patients in the province’s hospitals wasn’t available Monday.
Public Health Ontario said there were no new deaths reported due to COVID-19. The province said it changed its method of reporting on Friday, which affected the count of COVID-19 deaths.
