There is no room to negotiate the five Ukrainian regions that Russia has said to annex, according to the Kremlin.

– The territories that have become subjects to the Russian Federation, which are enrolled in our country’s constitution, are an inseparable part of our country. This is undeniable and non-negotiable, says Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday.

Russia claims that the country has annexed five regions in Ukraine, even though the country does not control four of them in its entirety.

The United States has started talks with Russia after President Donald Trump has previously promised to reach some form of peace solution very quickly. But restoring the wounded relationship with the United States is a process, says Peskov, adding that none of the pages expect quick or simple decisions.

– But with the political will of the two countries, with the desire to listen and hear each other, we will be able to get through this work process.
