No need to ask a stranger to take your photo anymore with this new Google feature

No need to ask a stranger to take your photo

Google recently unveiled a new feature for its Pixel phones that lets you add people to a photo you’ve already taken.

Google has a history of unveiling new AI-powered features when new products are announced by the company. At its conference around Google Pixel 9the company notably mentioned a stunning feature called “Add me” (or “Add me” in the language of Molière). The latter allows you to add people to your photo.

We already knew about Google’s famous Magic Eraser that lets you remove objects and people from a photo. The new Google Pixel can now do the opposite! The “Add me” feature, only available on the Pixel 9 when they were launched, lets you add a person to one of your photos.

To use “Add me”, you just need a phone Pixel compatible and open the camera to find the option. Take a first photo of the group of people you want then hand them your Google Pixel so they can take a photo of you in the same place. Your phone will then mix the two shots to create a new one where all the people will be present.

The “Add Me” feature is only available on the Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold at the time of writing. However, it would come as no surprise if the Mountain View company adds this option to older Pixel phone models in the coming months.
