The new update 5.0 for No Man’s Sky was released today, June 17th, and brings players many new features. With its action-packed gameplay, it reminds fans a lot of Helldivers 2.
What kind of game is No Man’s Sky? No Man’s Sky is an open-world game set in a science fiction world and set in a huge, procedurally generated universe. After many years, the game now has a rating of Mostly Positive on Steam. Players explore planets, build bases, trade resources, improve their equipment and fight enemies.
After the game had a very bad start, it has developed into a popular co-op title after many updates. Today, July 17th, new content for the game was released with the free update “Worlds Part 1”, which reminds fans of Helldivers 2.

In 5.0 you can fight against giant insects
What kind of update is this? The update 5.0 for No Man’s Sky, titled “Worlds Part 1,” brings many new features to the game that affect both the graphics and the gaming experience. Players can discover new worlds and biomes. Among other things, players will now be able to find worlds with floating islands.
Water and cloud graphics should now also look more realistic and better. In addition, players can fight against giant insects and collect new rewards in the new community expedition “The Liquidators”.
The update also expands gameplay with new features such as customizable solar ships, improved wind and water simulation, and the ability to rename discoveries. Players can also discover new insect species and build underwater bases.
Why does the update remind me of Helldivers 2? Those of you who have played Helldivers 2 before have probably already noticed why the new update reminds some fans of Helldivers 2.
The new expedition “The Liquidators”, which revolves around fighting hostile, beetle-like creatures, creates an atmosphere that may remind some of Helldivers 2. Particularly striking is the weapon seen in the trailer, which ties in with elements of the game.
So far, the update seems to be well received by players. Many are again surprised that version 5.0 is also a free update, as shown by the post by user DantyKSA on Reddit. He posted a meme that received over 900 upvotes and shows that he and many players would have been willing to pay money for the new expansion.
