When fans of the first hour look back, they will probably painfully realise that the first part of their favourite cult series is now a quarter of a century old. A lot has happened in the meantime. A main actor retired, was almost forgotten and then returned with a big welcome and to everyone’s delight. And the series itself? Has practically lost nothing of charm and wit.
Do you need more clues? How about desert and ancient curses? A little trip into the past? Indiana Jones feelingjust somehow… cheekier? Yes, of course it’s about The Mummy. But not just that. Both sequels too, because the entire trilogy is part of the Amazon Prime flat rate from today.

What can you say about the mummy that hasn’t been said many times before? How lovably eccentric and imperfectly brilliant its characters are, perhaps? How well rounded and crisp this out-of-time adventures feels? How little Rick O’Connell has lost in wit and how well his biting humor is balanced with the tension of the fantasy elements?
It is quite simple: The mummy is the great adventure that every child Desire to explore dreamed. This feeling still reawakens in all those who have not completely forgotten this child, even 25 years later.

The Mummy Returns also passes this baton to the Fantasy joy and takes us once again to discover mysteries, fight shady characters like seasoned adventurers and fall in love with the fantastic cast again.
As we work our way to part 3 in this marathon, each fan will have to decide for themselves whether it really has to be a trilogy marathon. But with at least parts 1 and 2, you’re in for a great, perhaps nostalgic, movie night.
