No education and poor guidance: situation of Zeist youth prison ‘undesirable’ according to inspection

Inspections critical of transfer of young people to Zeist prison

The shelter for the young people in Zeist is temporary. They have been staying there since June, because they could no longer stay in the National Juvenile Institution in Horsterveen due to water damage. This concerns young people aged 18 and over who have not yet been convicted, but are suspected of a criminal offence. The young people stay separately from the adults in the Judicial Complex Zeist.
