Although not many cafes are open, people can of course watch the game at home. Where they will in any case do so is in the Lijsterstraat in Utrecht. The house of the Verhoeven family is one of the few that is decorated in orange and therefore immediately catches the eye. “Women’s football is much more fun to watch than men’s. At least they don’t make a cry out of it,” says 18-year-old Anne, who herself plays football for FC Rijnvogels, which plays in the second level of the Netherlands.
