Maarten van Heuven, party leader of the Party for the Animals, is satisfied with the answers from the council. “The fact that they want to discuss the banning of meat advertisements with the operators is already a gain. We as the Party for the Animals are very happy with that, because when we first suggested the idea of a ban on fossil advertising, the college was still negative. “Now they also see why meat advertisements are undesirable. In short, we are looking forward to the announced letter about (meat) advertising in public spaces and hope that operators will already start banning meat advertisements.”
No ban on meat advertising for the time being, but Utrecht does want to talk to operators
