The Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR) demonstrated without permission at Stora Torget in Uppsala on Saturday afternoon. The police were called to the scene, Upsala Nya Tidning reports.

– We receive several calls about NMR moving to the square to demonstrate, which they did not have permission to do, says Anders Ståhlberg at the police to UNT.

About 30 people must have participated. At the same time, two other demonstrations were taking place at the site, both with permits. The police monitored the scene to make sure it was peaceful.

NMR’s demonstration aroused strong feelings in the public and three people tried to attack it, in which case the police had to intervene.
